August 2022 Updates – Top Products for the Meat Processing Industry

We would like to take a moment to thank everyone who stopped by our booth at the 2022 American Association of Meat Processors Convention last month!  It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with so many of you.  We look forward to discussing further with you how we can assist your organization with garment and fabric needs.

DeliKnit

Our proprietary fabric used for meat flavoring. Various patterns available including diamond, honeycomb, box, smooth, rib, and more.

RoastKnit

Its seamless chain link knitted design means that the chain won’t move, giving your roasts and box pattern more uniformity than ever before.

Frocks

Our garments can be machine washed and dried and can be constructed of 1 or 2 piece backs. Collars, cuffs, and pocket trims are available upon request. Extra touches like felt sewing and reinforced bar tacks at stress points add durability and value. Pockets can be added to the inside or outside, and on the top or bottom of any jacket. Let us know how we can customize workplace apparel for your employees.

Employee Spotlight: Sompong Soukrasmy

This month we couldn’t be more thrilled to spotlight Sompong Soukrasmy, who has been part of the Dickson family for over 14 years!

Many of you have seen the results of her meticulous detail in your orders, but as a knitting machine operator and mechanic, she is responsible for ensuring that at each step, the finished product you receive is reflective of the quality you expect from Dickson. Aside from her positive attitude and warm and friendly smile, she is keenly adept at honing the many knitting machines so they are running at their optimal performance. Most importantly though, she is a kind and caring colleague and exemplifies team spirit.

Sompong says “My favorite part of my day is making new samples and showing our customers what we have to offer”; and that outlook is certainly reflected in her work ethic.  A mother to two beautiful girls (both of whom have worked with at Dickson!), she beams as she reflects on her youngest, who will be starting her freshman year at Iowa State University in just a few weeks.

She and her family love to spend time together and venture out to try new restaurants. At home, you will often find her tending to her garden, where she loves to grow her own beautiful flowers and delicious vegetables. Thank you Sompong, for all you do!!
